The Burnsville Center is undergoing somewhat of a rejuvenation, the Food Court in the basement level is driving the attraction of customers here. Manila Sizzling Wok and Grill is now known as Manila Sizzling Plate, since it moved indoors from a location a little up the street. On my first visit here, I got the palabok (a la carte) and lechon kawali meal (included rice and two vegetable lumpia). The palabok was perfect! The noodles were the right texture and the shrimp/garlic gravy was warm and the right saltiness. Chopped pieces of lechon, boiled eggs, and calamari strips were nice touches. The lechon kawali wasn't fried hardz so the pieces of pork were soft yet crispy. The owners/workers reminded me of aunties and grandmas. They really want to make your meal delicious and will try their darndest, sometimes running around and ignoring you because they know better. And they do.

Omgoodness, this is the ONLY restaurant where the food tastes like my Filipino Papa's cooking! And that is high praise coming from me. The restaurant is tiny, but clean. The service is just cafeteria style, but the prices reflect this so no stars were removed for either size or service. If you want to try AUTHENTIC Filipino food on a budget, this place is for you! If you want to impress a bunch of your friends, call ahead for catering options to serve them from your home. The menu changes daily, but the few "must try" things are always available: 1. Pork Sizzling Sisig - even better than the options in Manila IMHO 2. Lumpia - Filipino Eggrolls 3. Lechon Kawali - need to use the Mang Tomas sauce

This was our first time eating Filipino food in St. Paul, down visiting from Bemidji. My Filipina wife (and me for what that's worth) gave it "ever thumbs up imaginable.". We weren't bashful in our ordering, especially considering it is just the two of us. As other reviews have stated, the owner and his mom are incredibly kind and friendly. While we didn't have questions on the menu, they were entertaining when we came to pick up the order. What did we order? Sit back and loosen your belts--you're going to get full just hearing about it. Lechon kawali; crispy skinned fried pork belly. Crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, just like it's supposed to be. Pancit; standard Filipino noodle dish with pork, shrimp and veggies--also delicious. Sisig; chopped and fried pork belly, tossed with chilis and scrambled egg, lemon to add a bit of acid, this is my favorite Filipino dish of all time. Beef and mushroom dish, this was new to both of us, but delicious in a creamy gravy. Menudo; not the Mexican style dish, it's a distinctly Filipino beef and veggie stew with a hint of liver paste--spot on. Spring rolls; again the Filipino version, extremely well done. Halo-halo; this iiced dessert is something I'm not crazy about, but my wife loves it and gave her full endorsement. This place is worth driving across town for. In fact, even if this was the only place we visited on this trip, it would have made the trip worth the 4 hour drive to get here. No exaggeration.

Hidden gem! I drive by this place many many times but never knew it existed. It's an express style order and the staffs are very friendly. I would definitely be back but my only suggestion would be to have a menu or label so I know what I'm ordering. I ended up trying one of each but not sure if there is a hidden menu I could order from next time. Only found out they sold Halo-Halo because I saw someone ordering it.

Great restaurant! While I can't comment on the authenticity, I can say I was happy with my experience! Thankfully, the staff helped us pick the dishes because they were all new to us!! The Filipino dishes were flavorful and rich. We tried the sisig (crispy pork skillet with egg and onions), Lechon kawali (fried pork belly pieces with rice), and chicken adobo (marinated chicken over rice). I'll be back to try more dishes! Menu changes frequently and updates are posted on their social media. Popular place so do expect a little wait and for some dishes to run out later in the day!

First of all, I want to thank the owner of this restaurant. He was so nice and willing to help me understand how to order the food. This place was amazing, it felt so different and I enjoy the food. I am not sure what the name are because again this place do not have a set menu. However, dont worry the owner is willing to help you. I have four dish, sadly I forgot to take a picture of the grill bbq beef. The food was amazing, they each had their own taste. I don't know the name of the dish, however they had a sweet taste mix with a sour (it's not like sweet and sour, but a little more herb taste) the grill bbq beef was so good. The curry dish; you can really taste the coconut. The hot dish in the sizzling pan was so good, i got mild and spicy. I would come back with my friends again!

What is Filipino cuisine? I don't know, but I'm glad I tried it! The food was splendid, but the service was spectacular. We tried many different dishes BEFORE we ordered and paid. Honestly, it didn't matter because I enjoyed them all. I ended up ordering a little of each. Additionally, they surprised us with a small portion of egg rolls and stir fry midway through our meal. The stir fry was my wife's favorite! The owner visited our table and was explaining how he would have plated his dish (on a sizzling plate) pre-Covid19. I really enjoyed our experience and I know it will only improve when restaurant dining returns to normal. The inside was extremely neat and clean.

Some pinoy food!!! If you haven't tried you are missing out. When I came here they didn't have the menus up on the screen. The owner was in a bad accident so he was not able to do much till he fully recovers, but he was in the kitchen whipping some bomb food for us! My and my wife came in here just as they were opening up, which was good. Right around lunch time it started to get pretty busy and there isn't much room for seating. Ordering take out is fine also. Well let's get to the food that we ordered! I had ordered their pork belly. This was amazing. It had that perfect crunch on the outside and thick and juicy meat underneath. This is a must to be ordered for first timers. Probably the best pork belly I have tried. Other items we ordered was sauteed veggies, buttered chicken(curry like), braised beef, and beef broth soup to wash it all down with. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, but my wife did not like the sauteed veggies. It was a little on the bitter side for her. Buttered chicken tasted like a light curry. Braised beef was nice and tender and flavored just right. Not to over powering. Beef broth was perfect to wash the food down with. They added a few veggies to the broth also. Best thing. The owner gave us a few items on him to try since we was new, and he also thought we was phillipino lol. He walked us through about each food and showed us how to order since he didn't have the menu up on screen yet. I will forsure be going back for more!!!!
